They want to be vegetarian. The three-month prison term for starving parents is given to their infant daughter
It is common for children to raise their children in a small way, so that their bodies and organs are fully formed. However, the situation was overwhelming for a Swedish couple. They raised an 18-month-old infant on a vegetarian diet for 3 months and starved until she almost died.
A judge at the Gothenburg District Court, decided to detain the parents for three months after they had lost their infant girl due to a neglected diet that threatened her life.
The girl was taken to a hospital in the city in critical condition and did not respond to the treatment. Doctors said she was hours away from death.

The medics provided evidence that her condition was due to "long famine" and one of them said it was "worse than anything we had seen in the hospital before," The Daily reported.
The child was not registered with the authorities and after three weeks of recovery at the Queen Silvia Children's Hospital, she was transferred to custody. Her foster mother told the court that the girl had been well healed.
The court added that "the child was not presented to a doctor, registered with the competent authorities, or measured the weight or length, and the girl was not vaccinated or examined by a doctor."
Her parents were sentenced to imprisonment for gross negligence causing bodily harm. They were held for two months and had already served their sentences in pre-trial detention and were ordered to pay 60,000 pounds (£ 5,000) as compensation for their daughter.
Parents will be allowed to spend eight weeks with their child under supervision in a welfare facility supervised by social services.
