ELECTRICITY HOLDING: Low fuel use in power generation as a result of plant development

An official source at the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company [EEHC] confirmed that there is an increase in the generated energy to 195.8 billion kWh by a growth rate of 4.2% for the fiscal year 2018/2019, stressing that despite the increase in generating capacity, there is a decrease in the rate Fuel consumption to 185.5 g / kWh, an improvement of 2.9% over the average for the fiscal year 2018/2019, due to several reasons, the most important of which is to maximize the production of units that serve as a combined cycle and share Siemens projects with 17% Power generation, development, and upgrading of power plants.

The source added, in special remarks for the "seventh day", that the implementation of the plan will be completed to strengthen the network to be able to unload the expected loads, and continued coordination with the oil sector to provide fuel for the stations.

The source pointed out to the keenness of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company to continue to implement the plan to promote programs rationalizing and efficient use of energy and the measures involved to raise awareness and increase the culture of energy conservation, pointing to the increase in the number of subscribers to 37.9 million subscribers by 4.1%.
