Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hosny El-Hayawy, Professor of Marine Engineering and Shipyard Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, received a Bachelor of Engineering with excellent grade from the Department of Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management in June 1992 and a Master's Degree in Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management in June 1996. , Then a Ph.D. in the same specialization from Newcastle University, UK in February 2005, and enrolled in the academic corps of the Department of Marine Engineering and Shipbuilding until he received the rank of Assistant Professor in 2011.
Al-Hayawi was an academic advisor. He participated in various activities at the university and worked as the coordinator of European projects in the faculty with the project management unit of the university in 2008. He was the head of the scientific research department of the college's vice president for postgraduate studies and research in 2008 2010, Member of the Board of Directors of Quality since 2006 until the college obtained accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education in 2004.
Al-Hayawi participated as an accredited trainer in the faculty development center, an executive director of the project of developing student evaluation systems and exams in the university from 2009-2013, consultant of the student project for the creation of electronic boards in the university faculties, And a member of the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Unit in the Faculty of Fine Arts from April 2013 until July 2014. He is also a member of the Higher Committee for Student Activity. He also served as Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at Alexandria University, To teach at the University of Alexandria, and was appointed in 2017 and until now Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education for Technical Education.
