The start of the first phase of training courses in the Rafik Al-Masan program

The first phase of the training courses for young people who have been accepted to join Rafik Al-Masan program will start on Wednesday in the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria where the training is scheduled to continue for a month and a half to end in July.

Sumaya Al-Alfi, head of the Central Administration for Social Welfare, said that the first phase will include the training of 30 trainees who will be trained at the Social Welfare Association in Karamouz, Alexandria, and 40 trainees in the Association of Care in Love in Cairo, out of a total of 150 young people who have successfully met the program's terms and conditions. The Rafik Al-Masan program is a follow-up to the cooperation protocol signed by the Ministry with the Institute of Elderly Sciences at Beni Suef University and some associations working in the field of care of the elderly with the aim of providing care for the elderly in their homes. Health, psychological, social and economic care for the elderly within their families.

She added that the ministry has completed the preparation of the training program for the courses as a comprehensive and approved organizational approach for the preparation and rehabilitation of the elderly and providing them with employment opportunities within the framework of a legal organizational vision for the profession that guarantees the rights of the elderly while at the same time allowing and encouraging associations to work in the project and qualifying trainee training to deal professionally with The training will include a team of certified trainers with experience in the fields of health, nutrition, psychosocial care for the elderly and in the fields of physical therapy, sports, security, household safety and first aid. The project includes levels where elderly people need to " Social "and others need a" medical companion ", so the training will be specialized

It is worth mentioning that the opening of the Rafik El Masan project was opened from 17 March to 4 April for young people from the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria and Qalioubia as a first stage of the program's implementation, where 3212 young men and women are already present. Four committees were set up in Cairo and Alexandria to meet 1211 applicants They have the conditions to choose 150 young men and women. The committees started their work from 15 to 20 April. The committees included a representative from the ministry, a representative of the psychiatry, a representative of the partner associations, a representative of the Institute of Elderly Sciences in Beni Suef and a representative in the field of social care for the elderly.
