President of Mansoura University: We have completed 8308 cases of waiting lists in hospitals and medical centers
Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, said that in the framework of the integrated and specialized medical services offered by Mansoura University Hospitals for citizens in Dakahlia governorate and Delta governorates, Mansoura University hospitals have made remarkable efforts in the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. Phase I and II, which aims to save the lives of thousands of citizens and reduce the waiting period for surgical interventions, which in some cases reached more than three years and ease the financial burden on the Egyptian families.
He confirmed that 8308 surgical waiting lists were completed in different hospitals during the period from 16/8/2018 to 7/5/2019, with an average of 250 cases per week.
He pointed out that all operations have been carried out since the implementation of President Sisi's directive on the elimination of patient waiting lists included open heart surgery for adults and children, heart catheterization for adults and children, kidney transplant patients, liver transplant patients, Cerebral palsy, neurosurgery patients, and corneal and retinal grafting patients.
He explained that the contribution of university hospitals and various medical centers at Mansoura University to the national initiative is one of the largest contributions to university hospitals in Egypt because of the achievements and the completion of a large number of waiting lists and receive those critical cases and attention and reduce waiting periods for urgent surgical operations to alleviate the suffering of patients .
