Support the release of 11 accused of belonging to the "Brotherhood" by precautionary measures
The Cairo Criminal Court rejected the appeal by the Supreme State Security Prosecution of the release of 11 accused of publishing false news that would affect the national security of the country and join a group founded in violation of the law and the constitution and decided to support the previous decision to release the accused.
Prosecutors in the case 828 of 2017 charged the security of a superior state with charges of committing offenses to join a group established contrary to the law, whose purpose is to call for the disruption of the provisions of the Constitution and the law and to prevent state institutions and public authorities from exercising their duties.
The prosecution also accused the accused of spreading false news about the political and economic situation of the country with a view to disturbing the general peace in the framework of achieving the objectives of the terrorist group, and promoting the group's goals aimed at undermining confidence in the state and its institutions.
