The Barcelona team had qualified for the King's Cup final after beating Real Madrid 4-1 in the first round and second leg, while Valencia beat Real Betis after a draw back in the last 2-2 and then win a round in the stadium "Mestaya".

Brichena's team is aiming for a double league and cup under Ernesto Valverde for the second successive season and to compensate the fans following the loss of the dream of winning the Champions League after the semi-final against Manchester United star Mohamed Salah.
