Imports recorded 286 thousand tons while exports recorded 284 thousand tons, an increase of 6% over the same period last year.
The port of Safaga handled 381 thousand tons of goods, an increase of 40% over the same period last year with a total volume of 244 thousand tons and exported 137 thousand tons, while the port of Nuweiba traded 58 thousand tons, an increase of 18% over the same period last year with a quantity of 13 thousand tons and The port of Suez handled 36 thousand tons of goods, an increase of 3% over the same period last year with a quantity of 5 thousand tons and exported 31 thousand tons of goods. The port of Zayatiyat reached 24 thousand tons of PP while the port of Hamraouin witnessed the export of 71 thousand tons phosphate.
