President of Arab Manufacturing: Exporting and supporting industry in Africa is our top priority

The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Abdel Moneim Al-Taras, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to support the state's efforts to deepen local industrialization and increase the added value of Egyptian products, stressing the responsibilities of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. The joint cooperation plan is based on achieving integration with all stakeholders in the industrial sector, particularly the Arab Organization for Industrialization, which has a large industrial and technological base that enables it to play a vital and influential role in the design and manufacture of products and components imported from abroad. He also reviewed the manufacturing capabilities available to the Authority, especially the renewable energy sector, infrastructure, wastewater treatment and industrialization, electronics, railway and medical equipment manufacturing, as well as environmentally friendly transportation, in particular the electric vehicle in Egypt.
He also pointed out the close cooperation with all research centers and universities to increase the percentage of the local component, pointing to the success of the Authority in the production of the first high pressure pump with 100% Egyptian design in addition to large diameter valves and manufacturing membranes for desalination plants.
He pointed to the Authority's interest in expanding the horizons of partnerships and cooperation with major international companies, thus contributing to the transfer of technical expertise, the resettlement of modern technology and the training of human resources.
Al-Taras pointed out that the Commission has set the export and support of the industrialization of the African continent as a top priority during the current stage, which requires close cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which prepared a comprehensive vision to increase the Egyptian presence in the African countries. In alliance with a number of Egyptian companies, including the Arab Contractors Company, a number of national companies in addition to a Belgian company to implement a number of projects in the countries of the African continent.
The two sides agreed to provide full support to the Arab Organization for Industrialization to succeed in its mission to localize the industry, noting the importance of maximizing the benefit of the services provided by the Authority in increasing export rates by focusing on exporting the service and the product at the same time. Will be accepted by a large number of African and Arab countries.
It is worth mentioning that during the meeting it was agreed to establish a clear plan of action and specific timing for the start of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Authority, whether in the manufacture of investment goods and components imported from abroad or for the implementation of industrial projects in a number of African and Arab countries. Between the two sides and identify points of contact to ensure the speed of implementation.
