The streets of East Nasr City east of Cairo witnessed extensive development and maintenance work, especially the streets surrounding the air defense stadium, as part of Cairo's preparations for the 2019 African Cup of Nations hosted by Egypt.
In the framework of preparations for the African Cup of Nations, the efficiency of roads, paddles, pavement paints and asphalt restoration has been upgraded in front of the air defense stadium. The works also included the maintenance of lighting system, sidewalks, gardens and green spaces, said Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Eastern Region.
Major General Tariq al-Warraqi, head of East Nasr City district, confirmed that the efficiency of cleaning and stripping was carried out around the air defense stadium. The efficiency of cleaning and stripping of Al-Mithaq Street and lifting the dust resulting from the abstraction was increased. The roads were paved and paved by Ahmed Qandil, Asma Zaghloul, Osman Abdelhafeez and Mahmoud Talaat around Sonesta Hotel, and the accumulations were removed on the central island down the high pressure street and in front of the Investment Authority.
