MP Hisham Abdel Wahed, chairman of the Transportation and Communications Committee in the House of Representatives, said that the committee approved the general budget for the transport sector for the next fiscal year in its meetings attended by representatives of the government, along with members of the committee, and demanded its recommendations to increase the allocations of the Roads and Bridges Authority and the Railways Authority.

This comes after the deputies objected during the meeting of the Committee on Transport and Communications, the amount allocated to the Commission in the budget, which is estimated at 6 billion pounds, and called for work on the development of internal roads in the provinces.

A member of the Transport Committee, Waheed Qirqar, said that the national projects are very important, asking to look at the axes and the old ways, while MP Mohammed al-Husseini referred to the problem of budgets in the second section on the purchase of goods and services, and on the maintenance of roads.
