Policy

The Committee on Transport and Communications in the House of Representatives, chaired by Hisham Abdul Wahid, postponed discussion of the railway budget, until the committee is provided with a complete plan on the Commission's activities and discussed in a meeting to be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of MP Hisham Abdul Wahid.

The members of the committee demanded the Egyptian Railway Authority to lead the revenues, especially since it did not achieve in the past fiscal year, only 3358658 pounds. Hisham Abdul Wahid, Chairman of the Committee, said that several legislation was designed to maximize the revenues of the railways through activating the participatory economy. There is a marked decline in revenues.

The head of the committee said that the ministry in the new era should have a big role in maximizing revenues, since the figures do not reflect the ambition of the railway.
