Manchester United have been crowned the Champions League for the third and final time in their history on this day in 2008.

Manchester United won the Champions League 11 years ago at the expense of fellow Chelsea on penalties 6/5 after the end of the original time and two additional points with a positive draw 1/1.

Manchester United have left the Champions League this season in the quarter-finals against Barcelona.
