London awaits the announcement of the winning novel Man Booker 2019 .. and Oman within the competition

LONDON [Reuters] – The eyes of the world and the lovers of the novel are on the way to the British capital of London to follow the 2019 World Bookman Man Booker at a dinner party at London's Randham House, among them short stories by Omani writer Jouka Al-Harithi.

The International Book Award, Man Booker, announced the shortlisted novels of 2019, which included six novels translated into its original language, into English, and the winner's prize is worth £ 50,000.

According to Man Booker, short-list novels are foreign languages, translated into English: Arabic, French, German, Polish and Spanish.

Bettany Hughes, president of the 2019 Man Booker International Judging Committee, said that wisdom in all its forms is reflected in short-list novels. It is these stories that forced us to choose it in the short list, and we were struck by clarity in all translations.

The Man Booker 2019 World Prize jury was formed by a five-judge panel chaired by Bethany Hughes, an award-winning historian, author and broadcaster, composed of a writer, translator and head of English PEN Maureen Freely; Philosopher Professor Angie Hobbs. Narrator and cynic Nathan John and writer and novelist Pankaj Mishra.
