Imagine using your phone while shopping may cost you more purchases by 41%

Studies at Bath University, the Stockholm School of Economics and Babson College in Massachusetts, as well as the University of Tennessee, show that people who use their smartphones while shopping are more likely to spend money at 41 percent than others.

According to the Daily Mail newspaper, shoppers wore sophisticated glasses to record their eyes and their eyes. Scientists focused on measuring the time they spent in the store, how many times they looked at a product or price, and whether they were carrying mobile phones.

It was found that shoppers browsing social networking sites and making calls while shopping were walking slowly away from others, making them inspect more shelves. One study reported that they purchased additional products at 41% while another study estimated the additional purchases by 51%

This happens as a result of moving away from their shopping list and paying attention to more products that attract them to buy them.
