Human Rights Parliament recommends the formation of a parliamentary committee to follow up the implementation of the National Building for Human Rights

The Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by MP Alaa Abed, recommended Sunday the formation of a mini committee of members of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament to follow up the implementation of the building of the National Council for Human Rights in the fifth assembly.

In its meeting today, the committee recommended a visit to the headquarters of the new National Council for Human Rights in order to follow up the implementation of its establishment and to monitor the latest developments accompanied by members of the National Council for Human Rights.

For his part, MP Alaa Abed, Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights, supported the Committee for the National Council for Human Rights, especially for its vital role. He added: "We see how the economic reforms that are taking place in the country, which are related mainly to economic and social rights, should not be limited to human rights in political and civil rights only "He said.

Abed said that the support of the National Council for Human Rights is in Egypt's interests abroad and even the economic side, especially for its permanent presence with international organizations and human rights organizations.

In this regard, Abed pointed to the importance of completing the new building of the National Council for Human Rights, to be opened at a ceremony organized at the highest level, in the presence of ambassadors of the European and foreign countries and all officials of international human rights organizations. Abed pointed out that the National Council is a picture and voice of Egypt abroad and expresses the Egyptian people to the world. He pointed out that the Council is a symbol of the Egyptian state and the delay in implementing the building is a big mistake. The whole world is attacking us through human rights.

Hafez Abu Saada, member of the National Council for Human Rights, said that the importance of the Council lies in the fact that it currently chairs the Arab Network for Human Rights, the Vice-President of the African Network of National Human Rights Institutions, and the chair of the National Institutions Committee in Africa, Call for conferences and organization of events, and this comes especially with the chairmanship of Egypt African Union.

Abu Saada added that the council has set up a plan to expand its branches by adding 7 new branches to reach citizens throughout the country as a national mechanism for cases of human rights violations.
