HH the Prime Minister congratulates Mohammed Rashwan after honoring Japan
His Excellency Faraj Amer, President of Smouha Club, congratulated Mohammad Rashwan, the judo champion, for his recognition of his achievements in contributing to enhancing understanding and knowledge about Japan and judo deployment in Egypt.
"Congratulations Captain Mohamed Rashwan, Egypt's Olympic champion, and Samouha Club and her son Al Bar. The victory of Baali and Yadi from the Emperor of Japan, Captain Mahd Rashwan, is the honor of Egyptian sport and the owner of the best sports history in Egypt."
Rashwan took part in the 1984 Open Judo Openweight Championship and won the silver medal at the age of 29. He also contributed to judo, soul and Japanese thinking behind him, having played with integrity and honor for Yasuhiro Yamashita, Injured in his foot in the final, and received great respect and appreciation from everyone when he extended his hand to help his opponent Yamashita during the climb to the podium.
Rashwan won the UNESCO International Fair Play Award in the same year, and maintained friendly relations with the judo community as a player and contributed greatly to strengthening Japan-Egypt relations through judo.
