Google asks Chrome developers to reduce access to user data
Google demanded the developers of "add-ons" for the browser, "Google Chrome" and Google Drive, "re-check the privacy options to require the minimum amount of user data, without affecting how it works, under the so-called Project Strobe, a special project Google to improve the protection, security and privacy of users.
According to Google published on its official blog, the company revealed that it asked the developers of the additions to modify them to request only the data you need to work, as well as the developers of additions dealing with data entered by users, the publication of privacy policies and handling and storage of these data, through Add page on "Chrome Store".
Google has given a 90-day opportunity to developers to modify their status and add-ons under the pretext of deactivating them and preventing users from downloading them. Google is currently working on the new Privacy Policy for Chrome browser in the coming autumn.
