Damietta Port receives 10 container ships and general cargo within 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, Damietta Port received a container ship and nine general cargo ships. The port left a container ship and 5 general cargo vessels. The total number of vessels in the port reached 24 vessels, in addition to 17 vessels in the outer line waiting to complete the entry procedures.
The media center of Damietta Port Authority issued a statement announcing the departure of two trains with a total tonnage of 2556 tons of wheat, while 868 trucks left with a total tonnage of 42704 general cargo including 82 transport vehicles loaded with 4,379 tons of wheat. The balance of wheat in private sector stores was 68307 tons.
The movement of the general cargo included 10210 tons of sand, 5000 tons of urea, 4900 tons of phosphate, 7565 tons of stone, 9429 tons of salt, 200 tons of cement, 2700 tons of beet and 540 tons of molasses .
The total number of container containers reached 590 TEU, the total number of containers reached 462 TEU while the total number of transit containers reached 1076 TEUs, while the general cargo traffic reached 5209 tons of iron, 8,500 tons of soybean, 963 tons of wood, 12050 tons of corn, 6000 tons of wheat and 1000 tons oil.
