Buffon clings to the dream of crowning the Champions League

Gianluigi Buffon, keeper of Paris Saint-Germain, has a dream of achieving the Champions League title despite his 41-year-old age.

Gigi Buffon refuses to retire after the end of the season, regardless of his position on staying with Saint-Germain, as he looks forward to completing his career for the Champions League dream, Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reported.

The newspaper said that Buffon will hold a meeting with representatives of St. Germain in the coming days to determine his position on the extension of his contract ended in June 2019, and set his terms with regard to participation in the case of continuing with the Paris team, during the next season.

Thomas Thouchil, the Paris St Germain coach, stressed that he did not want another season of recycling policy between Gigi Buffon, Alfons and Ariola.

If Buffon agreed to an agreement with Saint-Germain on renewing his contract, he would agree to one of his offers by clubs eligible for the next edition of the Champions League.
