An agreement between "workers in the food industry" and a private company to regulate the overtime hours

The Ministry of Manpower, in cooperation with the General Union of Food Industry Workers and the management of a private company, succeeded in renewing the collective labor agreement between the two sides to end on May 14, 2021, regulating the operation of workers overtime and the days of rest and official holidays, Benefiting 8,856 workers.
The agreement stipulates that work shall be performed two shifts a day, 6 days a week, and the rest periods shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Law No. 12 of 2003. The additional operation of the day and night hours shall be calculated in accordance with the provisions of Article 85 of the Law.
The parties agreed that workers may be employed on weekly rest days or public holidays with the cash equivalent of the additional wage legally prescribed instead of these days in accordance with the provisions of the above article.
The agreement represents a complete settlement of the additional operation and the determination of the company's genetic time, as well as the payment of the additional operating and cash equivalents on the weekly or public holidays. The agreement is valid for 3 years.
