4 Legislation The religious committee of the Parliament shall seek to resolve it before the end of the session
The fourth session of the House of Representatives is about to be completed. Therefore, the qualitative committees within the Council are seeking to complete a number of important files and draft laws.
In this regard, the Religious Affairs and Endowments Committee, chaired by Dr. Osama Al-Abd, seeks to complete four draft laws before the end of the fourth session and present them to the plenary for discussion and approval.
– Draft law regulating the general fatwa:
The committee has completed it completely and pending its presentation to the plenary session, which is a draft that regulates the fatwa and sets its rules and the competent authorities to grant permits to the fatwa.
– Bill organizing the media appearance of clergy:
The committee has completed its discussion and the final wording of the draft is left to be presented to the plenary session. This draft sets out controls for the emergence of clerics in the media to speak in the affairs of religion.
– Draft law regulating the Egyptian House of Fatwa:
The Committee has completed it and approved it in final agreement with the House of Ifta and the Government, pending its submission to the plenary session.
– Draft law to reorganize the Egyptian Endowments Authority:
The religious committee will continue to discuss it and seek to complete it before the end of the current session.
