30 companies with a list of shares allowed to carry out borrowing transactions for the purpose of selling

The Egyptian Stock Exchange [EGX] announced the list of securities allowed to carry out the borrowing activity for the purpose of selling on it, in accordance with the stock exchange standards in this regard. The list included 30 companies.

Mohamed Farid, the head of the stock exchange, issued a decision on the selection criteria for securities allowed to carry out transactions of borrowing securities for sale, in order to meet all the requirements for the speed of activation of the new mechanism to enhance liquidity and circulation in the market.

The stock market was based on 7 criteria for selecting the new mechanism's eligible securities after examining the best international standards and practices in this regard, including the free market capitalization of trading shares, trading days, average daily brokerage companies, average daily turnover of the company's shares and the average daily trading value.
