Wall Street closed higher after Trump's optimistic comments on trade with China

The major indexes on Wall Street closed higher Friday, recovering from the losses of the previous session following optimistic comments from US President Donald Trump on trade relations with China, fears among some investors.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 98.14 points, or 0.39 percent, to 2,558.61. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 3.82 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2826.06..
The Nasdaq Composite Index closed up 8.73 points, or 0.11 percent, at 7,737.01.
The Dow fell for a fifth week in a row, the longest weekly loss in eight years.
