"Veterinary Services": Control of 2312 kg of rotten meat in Giza during 7 days in Ramadan

The General Authority for Veterinary Services confirmed that according to the latest reports from the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Giza to the Commission on the campaigns carried out by the meat inspection department at the Directorate, it was able to control the amount of meat, poultry and meat products of the violation amounted to (2312) kg for its unfit for human consumption Or to slaughter outside the massacres and the unknown source.
The total number of minutes passed by meat inspection doctors (8) minutes from 5/5/2019 until 11/5/2019, after the issuance of instructions to tighten control of markets and shops selling meat and poultry during the holy month of Ramadan.
The report added that in the framework of the efforts exerted by the Authority to maintain public health and consumer access to healthy and safe food through intensification of campaigns on the supply and sale of meat, as well as refrigerators for meat preservation and control of violations and the implementation of laws and decisions governing the circulation of meat, poultry and fish and their products and abide by the standards To ensure that they reach the consumer in a healthy and safe manner through the work of meat inspection departments in the Authority and the directorates.
