Valverde: I did not think of resigning after the Champions League
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has confirmed that his team's win on Getafe will make the team come out of the pressure they have suffered in the recent period due to the resounding exit from the Champions League by Liverpool.
"Winning was a key thing for us to get rid of the pressure," Valverde said in his remarks after the match.
"Everyone is trying to rise again after the loss and the pressure. This happened to us last year, but then we won the Cup and the League. Now we have a week to prepare for the end of the league and the final of the Cup."
"I never thought of resigning," he said of his future with the Catalan team.
Barcelona lifted their lead to 86 points in the lead, while Getafe remained in fifth place with 58 points.
