Training 4000 young people aged 16 to 30 years on the objectives of the sustainable development strategy

Dr. Hwaida Barakat, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit, said that a training course for trainers on the strategy of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030 was held in the framework of launching the community dialogue on the updated Egypt 2030 strategy on the implementation of sustainable development goals and raising the awareness of society, vocational training and entrepreneurship.
The project will be implemented in the following target governorates: Qena, Luxor, Beni Suef, Suez, Ismailia, Menoufia and Gharbia.
Barakat also explained that the training course aimed to train a group of employees of NGOs in the targeted governorates to serve as trainers in the mentioned governorates in order to train 4000 young people from the age of 16 to 30 years.
It is worth noting that this awareness training course dealt with several topics, namely the definition of sustainable development, the UN goals for sustainable development, the vision of Egypt 2030 and its modernization, the most important achievements of Egypt in the field of sustainable development, and the role of every citizen to achieve the goals of sustainable development. On interactive activities (mental games and practical examples) to ensure that the information is accessible and applicable.
The project aims at raising the awareness of the youth in the target governorates, where the phenomenon of illegal migration is spreading to the objectives of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030, raising awareness about the potential dangers of illegal immigration, and how to avoid them and to identify safe migration routes.
The project aims at reducing the phenomenon of illegal immigration and human trafficking by providing job opportunities and creating qualified youth for the local and international labor market, enhancing their participation in public life and developing their skills for vocational training, and promoting the culture of productive families by encouraging entrepreneurial projects, Raising the productive efficiency of craftsmen through apprenticing young people to work in the official market, and setting up micro and small projects with the aim of raising the standard of living of the target families and thus revitalizing the local economy, while encouraging civil society, M young girls and families in the targeted governorates.
The economic and awareness programs of the project will be carried out through conducting identification meetings for the residents of the targeted areas, monitoring their actual needs, identifying the target groups according to social and economic indicators, and developing a plan of integrated social and economic programs.
The implementation of this project comes within the framework of the State's keenness at this important stage to open up new horizons for youth by providing training and rehabilitation opportunities and all available positive alternatives to the labor market, whether Egyptian or international, and linking them to the actual needs of the labor market, believing that investment in Egyptian youth and their potential Of the risks of illegal immigration.
