The seizure of quantities of narcotics and firearms in the raid of criminal foci in Giza

The Giza Security Directorate prepared a security campaign to purge the criminal areas throughout the governorate. The campaign resulted in the arrest of 36 defendants with 1830 grams of hashish, 289 anesthetic tablets, 1160 grams of anestoxic drugs and 102 grams of heroin.
The campaign also resulted in the arrest of eight defendants with firearms and 21 unlicensed rounds. They confessed to possessing them for the purpose of defense. Legal proceedings were taken against the accused. Major General Reda al-Omda, Director of the General Department of Giza Investigations, informed the prosecution.
