The Damietta Customs Damage Department managed to control a large quantity of "tobacco" in a date message, a 20-foot container en route to Australia via Damietta port.

The Department of Combating Customs Evasion managed to thwart the smuggling of 2 tons and 280 kilos of molasses inside a shipment of dates, and estimated the customs duties owed by one million and 300 thousand pounds.

A statement of the incident was also released and legal proceedings are under way.
