The seizure of the drinking water company in Qena for the theft of 134 thousand pounds
Public funds investigation succeeded in controlling the acquittals of the drinking water company in Qena for the embezzlement of money from their custody, in continuation of the efforts of the General Directorate of Public Funds Investigation to combat the crimes of embezzlement and the seizure of public money and corruption.
The branch of administration in South Upper Egypt, following the legalization of the procedures and coordination with the concerned authorities, seized two people who were in the company of drinking water and sanitation branch Abu Tesht for the month of January 2018 until April 2019 embezzlement of funds from their custody and not to supply the treasury of the company, .
The investigations revealed that the first one embezzled seventy thousand four hundred and sixty-two pounds and forty-eight piasters, while the second embezzled sixty-four thousand three hundred and forty-five pounds and eighty-eight piasters from their charge. What is the value of the bills of water collected from the participants and taking them for themselves and not supplying them to the company's treasury without right? Damage to the company's money, including the amount of money taken.
All documents supporting the two facts were obtained and confronted with acknowledgment of the incident and a pledge to pay the sums seized. Major General Ibrahim al-Deeb, Director General of Public Funds Investigation Department, took the necessary legal measures.
