The Ministry of Planning begins its awareness campaign in Qena and Luxor with the objectives of sustainable development strategy
The Ministry of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform started the process of raising awareness of the vision of Egypt 2030 and the objectives of sustainable development in the different governorates of Egypt in the context of launching the community dialogue on the updated strategy. In order to activate the bilateral cooperation protocol between the Ministries of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, And raising the awareness of the community and vocational training and entrepreneurship, where the start of the provinces of Qena and Luxor in Upper Egypt for a number of young people, especially those with special needs.
The Ministry of Planning said that according to the protocol signed with the Ministry of Immigration, the project of community development, awareness raising, rehabilitation and operation is implemented in a number of targeted governorates, such as Qena, Luxor, Beni Suef, Suez, Ismailia, Menoufia and Gharbia.
The ministry explained that the modernization of the strategy is being carried out in cooperation with all concerned bodies in the country, in order to keep abreast of the changes that have occurred in the indicators of the Egyptian economy after the implementation of the economic reform program in 2016. It also ensures that the strategy is consistent with both the UN goals of sustainable development and its indicators, Consistent with the Africa Agenda 2063.
The Ministry stressed the importance of preparing and qualifying the youth and activating their participation in the national work, pointing out the importance of supporting and investing their energies and working to raise their competencies and abilities, explaining that the issue of integrating people with special needs in development is one of the central development issues at the global and local levels. In the forefront of the determinants of development programs and plans in Egypt, to continue work to implement this trend through the work program of the government for the period 2018-2022.
Dr. Hwaida Barakat, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the Ministry of Planning, has held several awareness sessions for young people, especially young people with special needs: motor disabilities, blind, deaf and dumb with the help of sign language interpreters and speech specialists. Community in the process of community dialogue to modernize the strategy of sustainable development: Vision 2030 and support the continuation of these awareness programs in all governorates.

The awareness sessions of Qena and Luxor resulted in a strong interaction between trainers and trainees through participation in explanatory activities, applied games and listening to youth questions and suggestions.
