The governor of Giza is a supreme committee for commodity control and market control
Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, issued a decree to form a Higher Committee to follow up the market control system, headed by the director of the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Giza and the membership of each of the representative of the General Administration of Supply Investigation in Giza and representatives of the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine Giza, Directorate of Health Affairs Giza, Consumer Protection in Giza.
The governor pointed out that the role of the committee is to follow up the market control system in coordination with the concerned authorities and take all measures that contribute to controlling the markets in order to achieve control and awareness procedures and achieve a positive return to the citizen and highlights the directives of the political leadership and the government's program on the interest of citizens and efforts to provide commodities to meet the needs of citizens at prices Through an integrated strategy that includes strict control over the markets to eliminate monopolistic practices and price controls, especially in the areas most in need.
The governor stressed the need to intensify the ongoing inspection and monitoring campaigns on food establishments and the places of manufacture and circulation of food products to achieve full protection of citizens and ensure the safety of their food source in practical application of the supervisory role of the state on the ground.
The Governor also directed the heads of districts, centers and cities to provide the necessary support to facilitate the work of the committees to control the markets and cooperation with the rationing systems.
