The Dubai bourse fell sharply on the start of trading with collective downward pressure on the sectors

Dubai Financial Market index dropped 2.79% to close at 2555.91 points.
Trading volume reached 121.9 million shares, recording a total value of AED 153.6 million through the execution of 2297 transactions for 34 shares.
The real estate sector fell by 3.83%, followed by the insurance sector by 2.53%, followed by the banking sector by 1.89%, followed by the services sector by 1.51%, followed by the transport sector by 1.34%.
Ithmaar Holding was the only gainer with a 5.22% share, while the losers were National Industries Group [10%] and Union Properties [10%].
