Telecom Egypt 's revenues in the nine months to March 31

Telecom Egypt announced today its financial results for the period ended 31 March 2019 in accordance with the consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with Egyptian Accounting Standards.

Total consolidated revenues for the period ended 31 March 2019 were LE 6.1 billion, a 27% growth over the same period last year. The increase in revenues of retail units contributed 57% to this growth, supported by increased data services revenues.

The subscriber base continued to grow at the level of all services provided. The increase in the number of fixed line subscribers was 11% over the previous year. The number of fixed broadband customers increased by 27%. The number of mobile customers reached 4.2 million, an increase of 45% %.

EBITDA was EGP 1.9 billion, an increase of 26% over the same period last year, with a profit margin of 31%.

The net profit after tax increased last year to LE 1.6 billion, a 27% margin. The capital expenditure rate of total revenues was 23% due to our continued investment in infrastructure.

Net debt was down 8.1 billion pounds, compared to 12.6 billion pounds at the end of last year, achieving a net interest rate of EBITDA of 1.1 times compared to 2.1 times by the end of 2018.
