Telecom Egypt: Our proposal for development fee is still under study by Finance
An official at Telecom Egypt, the seventh day, on the Ministry of Finance's response to proposals made by the company several months ago as an alternative to the development fee on the new mobile lines, said that our proposals are still being studied by the Ministry of Finance.
Some mobile companies such as Telecom Egypt and Etisalat Egypt have submitted proposals to the Ministry of Finance regarding the development fee on the new mobile lines, pointing out that it has contributed to reducing the volume of subscriptions, while Orange and Vodafone on several occasions have not been affected by the development fee.
During the first three months of the year, customers of the Wii network rose to 4.2 million. The company distributed 613,000 SIM cards to first-tier students in the education development system.
A brief report on the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology indicators for February 2019 revealed that the volume of mobile subscriptions reached 93.13 million, a slight decrease from January 2019, which reached 93.43 million, a significant difference from February 2018.
