Sources: double the rates of pumping gasoline during Eid al-Fitr by 30%

According to informed sources, gasoline pumping rates during Eid al-Fitr will save about 30% from natural pumping rates and 15% from pumping rates during the holy month of Ramadan.

The sources added in a special statement to "the seventh day" that the Ministry of Petroleum continues to pump petroleum products within its plan for the month of Ramadan, an increase of 15% to 20% as well as willingness to cover the needs of the local market during the Eid al-Fitr.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has set up follow-up rooms with the General Petroleum Authority and marketing companies for petroleum products and warehouses during the holy month of Ramadan and during the Eid al-Fitr days, where a daily report is presented to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

It is worth mentioning that the production complex of gasoline, diesel and potash for Assiut National Company for the manufacture of petroleum is currently being implemented with investments of 450 million dollars for the production of high octane gasoline, which will have a production capacity of about 660 thousand tons per year of 650 thousand tons of benzene, in addition to quantities of butane and hydrogen gases.

The high-octane gasoline production complex of Assiut Petroleum Refining Company and the Gasoline, Solar and Gasoline Production Complex of Assiut National Company for the Manufacture of Petroleum [ANOPEC], with an investment of 450 million dollars for the production of high octane gasoline, will have a production capacity of about 660 thousand tons per year at 650 thousand tons of benzene, Potash and hydrogen gases, and the percentage of progress in the implementation of the project amounted to more than 40%.

As for the currently under construction complex of Assiut Oil Refining Company, its investments amount to 450 million dollars for the production of high octane gasoline, which will have a production capacity of about 660 thousand tons per year at the rate of 650 thousand tons of benzene, in addition to quantities of butane gas and hydrogen gases. The project amounted to more than 40%.
