In article 321 bis of Chapter 8 of the Egyptian Penal Code, he stressed the punishment of those who begrudge himself to return the lost items to their owners. , And if he does not return it to the owner of the police station or the administrative body within three days, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of not more than two years if he is in possession of the intention to possess him. The text of the article is as follows:

"Whoever finds a thing or animal, is missing and does not return it to the owner whenever it is possible, or does not extradite him to the police headquarters or the administrative body, within three days shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of not more than two years.

But if he is detained after the expiry of that period without the intention of acquisition, the penalty shall be a fine exceeding one hundred pounds. "
