The Supreme State Security Prosecution has renewed the detention of two defendants for 15 days in custody in connection with the investigations carried out with them in the charge of participation of a terrorist group founded contrary to the provisions of the law, and the use of social media sites to spread false news.

The defendants accused Ahmad Badawi and Abeer al-Safti. In the case 674 of 2019, the prosecution charged them with committing crimes involving the participation of a terrorist group in achieving its objectives, receiving financing for terrorist purposes, participating in a criminal agreement intended to commit a terrorist crime, And the use of special accounts on the international information network for the purpose of committing a crime punishable by law in order to disrupt the public order.
