Qalyubia Agriculture: We aim to grow 70 thousand feddans this year
Engineer Hassan Zayed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Qalioubia, said that 20 thousand feddans of corn were planted in all kinds. The total cultivated area of maize is 70 thousand feddans, pointing out that the agricultural extension workers periodically survey the land,.
He added that "Zayed" in statements to the "seventh day", that the full share of the crop is distributed to the farmer, and the exchange is not limited to a certain period of the crop, noting that there is in the warehouses of the agricultural associations 12,860 tons of fertilizers, explaining that it is disbursement of this quantity and are replaced by the plan Monthly Directorate.
He pointed out that the existing seeds of the good strains according to the policy of the quality received from the Institute of crops, and that the Directorate aims to come out with a good season for maize crop and increase production through these new species.
