The General Union of Egyptian Women, headed by Huda Badran, is organizing a Ramadan breakfast that brings together a number of women leaders, led by 30 female members of the House of Representatives.

The meeting is part of the activities of the project to support women leaders. The agenda includes the most important issues of common interest between the Union and the deputies, including discussing the latest developments related to draft laws that deal with personal status problems and the latest developments in the new education system.

Deputy MP Majida Nasr, the undersecretary of the Education Committee of the House of Representatives, highlighted the challenges facing the educational development system, while Abla Hawari spoke about the personal status law, and MP Elizabeth Shaker discussed the problem of garamat, while Solaf Darwish and Abeer Khouly discussed the problem of early marriage , And Mona Munir talks about the draft law of the Commission on Non-Discrimination.

It is noteworthy that the Union trained hundreds of women leaders on negotiating skills, lobbying and writing policy papers. These activities were carried out in seven governorates, including governorates in Upper Egypt and the Delta. Women leaders were trained through public conferences in the governorates, And implemented these activities in cooperation and coordination with several governmental and civil authorities in Assiut, Minya, Gharbia, Sharqia and Ismailia.
