President of the American Chamber: great opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship in Egypt

Dr. Sherif Kamel, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in the growth of the economy in different countries of the world.

Kamel said during his participation in the press conference held at the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo today, in the presence of Thomas Goldberger, the US ambassador to Cairo, Lawrence Westerhof, the Dutch ambassador in Cairo, and Tariq Tawfiq, undersecretary of the Federation of Industries, on the upcoming entrepreneurship summit in The Hague, the Netherlands. There are great opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship, but in Egypt we need more culture of entrepreneurship in the future to suit the size of Egypt and its large market and the importance of creating jobs in society.

Dr. Abla Abdel Latif, Director of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, said: "We need entrepreneurship and training so we can enter this field.

She referred to several Egyptian initiatives to support entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, especially the initiative of the Central Bank.

At the Hague Summit from June 3 to 5, seven Egyptian companies will be among the 1,200 international companies.
