Major General Ayman Abdel Moneim, head of the reconstruction agency in the new valley, announced on Monday the start of the implementation of services and signs in the direction of Farafra – Dairout at a cost of 200 million pounds.

In a statement, Abdel Moneim said that the services include the establishment of restrooms and umbrellas that stop every 50 km of the road, as well as the installation of guide signs along the axis, and the completion of some works of art, which include brushing and paving 10 km surface layer of the axis and the same layout work axis.

Abdel-Moneim added that the new Valley Reconstruction Authority completed 96% of the entire project, which connects the new valley in Assiut Governorate with a length of 310 km and a width of 5.10 meters and a cost of LE 1 billion and 715 million.

The head of the system, that this project giant within the national road projects implemented by the state, and will eliminate the isolation of the center of Farafra Upper Egypt.

On the other hand, the Directorate of Housing and Utilities, on Monday, the completion of the installation of surveillance cameras at the entrance to the village of Othman bin Affan Farafra center.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Eng. Ahmed Hussein Yousef, confirmed the installation of cameras at the entrance of the village at a cost of 50 thousand pounds, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the province, to monitor the ports and tighten control over them.

Hussein added that the main objective of the installation of cameras is control and follow-up on the process of exit of agricultural crops, especially from the areas and companies of agricultural investment in Alfarafra and collect fees.
