Mayor of Luxor, Brigadier General Ayman El Sherif announced that a campaign under the direction of Hatem Jaber Abdel Harith, Secretary General of Luxor City, and the leadership of Ahmed Abdel Sabour, Director of the Field Follow-up Department, were conducted to implement administrative closing and licensing decisions for commercial shops without a license.

Coordination with the Facilities Police Department, led by Maj. Mohammed Badr, the Under-Secretary of the Department, the Bander Police and Bandar Al-Luxor Police and the Manpower, was also established to eliminate all administrative, health and environmental violations and activities without a license.

Nasser Ebeid, the official of the licensing department in the engineering department, said that 26 decisions could not be executed for various reasons according to the following: changing the activity of the establishment, the existence of valid licenses and consequently the removal of the reason, as well as some other decisions. The decisions were made in the previous campaigns. It was also revealed that some decisions were not made to the location of the eye due to the fact that their addresses are not clearly defined and thus it is impossible to implement them. He added that current decisions are being made for the current year to carry out campaigns for closing and smothering those who contravene health and unlicensed conditions.

On the other hand, the President of the City of Luxor confirmed that the implementation of the resolutions of the closure campaigns is ongoing. Coordination with the Electricity, Water and Sanitation Company has been done to raise the meters during the implementation.
