Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, Gonzalo Montez Lopez, Consul of Spain in Cairo, Trentario Sanchez Rodriguez, Attaché of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior in Cairo, and José Manuel, Advisor to the Spanish Embassy in Cairo, during their visit to the province.
On the sidelines of their visit to the cities of Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba and St. Catherine, the delegation met with Major General Ahmed Abu Aqil, Director of South Sinai Security, to discuss the situation in the governorate as a step to prepare for the reception of Spanish tourist delegations in South Sinai.
The visit of the Governor of South Sinai to the delegation in the governorate, especially the cities of Sharm El Sheikh and St. Catherine, is a huge project, such as the road from the tunnel Ahmed Ahmed Hamdi to Sharm El Sheikh, which shortens the time from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh in four hours only, The second of which includes marina for yachts and chains of restaurants, to develop and equip Sharm el-Sheikh airport with all modern equipment in the field of security and training the necessary cadres, in addition to raising the efficiency of hotels and training the labor and maintenance work required.
The governor noted the development of the city of St. Catherine, which includes the road from an ambush to the city, the Airport Road and the development of St. Catherine Airport, as well as the installation of security cameras to increase the security of tourist delegations.
The Consul also thanked the governor of South Sinai for his hospitality and efforts in Sharm El Sheikh. He also expressed his happiness with this fruitful meeting.
