Dr. Hussein Issa, Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Budget in the House of Representatives, stressed that the scientific research is not limited to research centers only, whether those followed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research or follow other ministries, pointing out that the research sector and graduate studies in Egyptian universities budget within the budget Scientific Research.

Issa said during a meeting of the House of Representatives Budget and Budget Committee that there is a global trend towards reducing the participation of the public treasury in the budgets of public universities to rely on their own resources, pointing out that this does not mean the exit of public universities from higher education, Self-financing rather than relying on the state's public treasury.

He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an example of reducing the appropriation funds of the General Treasury to support universities, stressing at the same time that this trend does not mean at all increase tuition fees, but aims to link the universities factories and the labor market directly.
