Participants in the race are dressed in fancy costumes like legendary film heroes such as Batman as well as bright green wigs and exotic dresses during the 400-meter race.

The sports event dates back to 1973, when about 20 people crossed the river with the tidal wave. After 46 years, the race drew contestants from around the world and thousands of pounds were collected for charity.

Hundreds of mud runners ran through the bottom of the Blackwater River in Essex, where it was impossible to cross through the river without a boat at the low tides that reveal black mud at the bottom of the river, near yachts and boats, especially in the summer months when boats are returned once Other to the water under warm weather, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.

Brian Fasington, President of the Maldon Race, said that last year there were about 20,000 people. More funds were raised for charities, and we had already collected more than 35,000 pounds.
