MP Mustafa Salem, the undersecretary of the Planning and Budget Committee, asked the head of the Postal Authority Issam Al-Saghir, during the discussion of the Authority's budget today, on the Commission's plan to develop existing post offices which serve a large number of citizens and are in bad condition and need rehabilitation, maintenance and development.

Salem added that there are dozens of plots of land previously donated by the citizens to the Authority for the establishment of post offices, but the Commission took them and did not establish these offices or return these pieces to the donors to benefit from the establishment of other projects of public benefit serving these villages.

For his part, the head of the Authority, in response to the question of MP Mostafa Salem, said that the number of 880 post offices in the first phase has been developed and 450 offices will be developed during the next financial year. As for the plots of land donated and no offices will be established due to economic futility, For those who give it to them, because that is their right.

This came during a meeting of the Committee of Plan and Budget, which was held today in the House of Representatives to discuss the budget of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its affiliates for the fiscal year 2019/2020 and budget programs and performance of the ministry for the same year.
