MP Mohammed Salim, member of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, said that the new law of public shops will control the system of shops and eliminate chaos and randomization and solve the crisis of licenses, which may take years because of red tape, bureaucracy and corruption.

He added that more than 75% of the public shops are not licensed, especially cafes and cafeterias. The draft law of the new public shops will facilitate the licensing procedures, which will result in integration into the official sector and the state economy.

He pointed out that the unlicensed shops waste a great deal of money on the state as a result of the non-entry of these shops and their commercial activities within the official economy of the country through legalization, licensing and payment of the required fees, calling for taking the necessary measures to integrate activities that operate outside the formal framework and law in the official economy.
