Learn about the services of "Sakan Karim" program for the most needy families in 5 governorates
The government is continuing to implement the "Decent Housing" program to rehabilitate the homes of the most needy families and to provide drinking water, sanitation and home education links since the start of the program in 2018, in the governorates of Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena and Luxor in the first stage.
"Seventh Day" publishes an information report on what has been implemented in the program "decent housing" to improve the lives of needy families at specific points.
1. The program has met the needs of some 57,000 families in 200 villages
2 – The value of projects provided through the program so far exceeds 326 million pounds
3 – The rehabilitation of 1204 houses and roofing of 3797 houses, in addition to the extension of 6437 pure water connection and the introduction of sanitary drainage of 44757
4 – The governorates of Luxor and Minya were the first governorates of the project in the size of interventions followed by Qena
5 – The program through the implementation of projects more than 700 thousand daily work
6. The Karim Housing Project launched by the Ministry aims to improve the housing, living and environmental conditions of poor families registered in the Takaful and Dignity Database

LE 350 million is the amount of funding currently available for the program
9- 1204 houses and 1000 homes are being rehabilitated for the first-time families in the governorates of Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena and Luxor.
10- 3229 domestic water supply links were implemented in villages in Minya, Assiut, Sohag and Qena governorates
11- Implementation of 1000 internal links for drinking water in Minya and 1750 external links are being implemented in Minya, Sohag, Qena and Luxor governorates
12- Implementing 5529 external links to sanitation in villages in Minya, Sohag and Qena governorates, implementing 1370 internal sewage connections in Sohag and 3800 internal sewage connections in Qena.
13- A total of 39165 sanitary drainage connections were implemented in the five governorates.
14 – Preparing for the launch of the second phase of the project during the second half of this year to include the governorates of Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef and Aswan, with completion of work in the provinces of the first phase.
