Launch of the national campaign to raise awareness of fibromyalgia, which causes the pain of the body

The National Council of Women [NCW] on Sunday launched the national campaign to raise awareness of fibromyalgia, a chronic disease that causes pain throughout the body and affects 70% of women.
For her part, Dr Reham, a professor of psychiatry at Ain Shams University, said that women are more likely to suffer from pain and depression, explaining that fibromyalgia leads to 90% of the symptoms of depression.
She pointed out that the treatment includes the formation of a psychiatric and psychological, and exercise, explaining that sport is a very important part of treatment.
She said studies have shown that walking addresses depression, and stress management addresses anxiety as the "quiet walk" increases the production of serotonin, which improves mood, explaining that walking and walking can improve the lives of Egyptians.
She stressed that relieving problems with yoga and exercise improves the immune system, as well as psychological support from the family.
For her part, Dr. Ahlam Hanafi, head of the Health and Population Committee of the National Council for Women, said that the Egyptian woman is under severe pressure due to her life circumstances, and the woman was suffering from depression because she is unable to afford the living expenses, thus exposing her to fibromyalgia. She did not suffer from the severe pain she suffered.
The mother is advised of the importance of healthy nutrition, and attention to walking, to avoid the incidence of fibromyalgia.
"I was suffering from severe pain and was mistakenly diagnosed," said Amira, one of the fibromyalgia patients. Many doctors diagnosed me with red lupus, until I was diagnosed again. I received treatment as well as physical therapy. I underwent physical therapy for one year. I practice walking every day, as it is a chronic disease, the attacks of the disease are severe, and the improvement gradually became a healthy food, sports and mental state.
The conference was attended by Dr. Ola Rajab, Professor of Rheumatology and Immunology, and Dr. Najwa Nassar, Head of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Department, Ain Shams University.
